About Fred Armband
Það eru til margs konar armbönd og armbönd: hönnuðir, gyllt, plast, ódýr og dýr ... en falleg eins og þau eru, þau eru alltaf einfaldlega og aðeins armbönd. Fred er eitthvað meira. Þessar belgir í einfaldleika sínum endurlífga göfugleika gamla tíma, en samt eru þeir nútímalegir. Hægt er að klæðast þeim á berum höndum líka á silkiblússu eða svörtu peysu og þeir munu alltaf bæta við snertingu af bekknum fyrir þann sem klæðist þeim. Þessi armbönd eru einstök vegna þess að þau koma sem par. Þau eru mjög létt sem gerir það að verkum að það er ómögulegt. Með því að klæðast þeim verður maður örugglega tekið eftir!

Fred Armband vann A' Design Award í silfri, gífurlega virta viðurkenningu sem veitt er hönnunarverkum í fremstu röð, stórfallegum og áhrifamiklum. Sigurvegarar í silfri eru ákaflega snjöll og afar skapandi verk sem sýna framúrskarandi sérfræðiþekkingu, hæfileika og skarpskyggni hönnuða sinna. Þess er vænst að Fred Armband sé dásamlegt sýningarverk sem er einstaklega fagmannlegt og djúpt nýstárlegt. Þetta hönnunarverk sem vann A' Design Award í silfri er mjög athyglisverð, dáð uppfinning sem gagnast og færir mörk listar, vísinda, hönnunar og tækni fram á við. - Unique Properties
- These bracelets are unique because they come as a pair. They are very light which makes their wearing comfortable
- Dimensions & Packaging
- Dimension, Package and Technical properties: Cuffs are 13 cm long, 12 cm high and 6 cm wide. They come in pair and are packed in an orange - pink protective pouch tied with the orange bow.

- Cuffs are made out of light white plastic used for billboards.
- Design Challenge
- The real challenge was finding the way to bend the material at home without professional machines and to find something that would look as a cuff link. But it also was a work with many gleeful errors.
- Research
- The research was focused on finding the right dimension for the cuffs and finding the way to make something weareable out of the material ment for something else.
- Inspiration
- The inspiration: I often go to the theatre and like to dress for the occasion. I like to have something new and different every time I go. Once while I was thinking what to wear this time, there was a movie with Fred Astaire on the TV. I saw his sleek suit, his cuffs… and voila – the idea was born! I remembered cuffs and plastrons worn by men in the last century and decided to revive it in a modern way, this time as a part o woman garment.
- Project Duration
- The project started in March of 2012. in Zagreb and was finished in two weeks. During that time I was trying to find out the right dimension for comfortable wearing bracelets and the way to bend the plastic at home.
- Operation Flow
- The research was focused on finding the right dimension for the cuffs.
