Meet è un ristorante barbecue coreano rivolto ai giovani. Il compito del cliente per Mengchao, Hao e Sijia è quello di creare una direzione artistica e un'identità visiva per esprimere la vivida immagine del marchio e promuovere le varie carni. Le forme delle carni alla griglia presentano naturalmente delle geometrie. Questa idea li porta alla pietra miliare del concetto, collegando diverse carni, frutti di mare e verdure con geometrie specifiche. Varie combinazioni di forme e motivi conferiscono alle geometrie un tocco finale giocoso e caldo.

- How to turn the strong emotional/physical feeling we get from bbq into a consistent but flexible visual language.

- Our research included 3 parts
1. Communications with the client.
2. Feeling research. we ate a lot of bbq(lol) to immerse ourselves in the emotion which bbq can directly convey. Moodboard is the result of this part. in the moodboard.
3. visual research. - Ispirazione
- The shapes of meats on the grill naturally present geometries, beef tongue as circle, pork neck as rounded rectangle, and beef rolls as cylinder. This idea leads us to the milestone of our concept, connecting different meats, seafoods and vegetables with specified geometries. Various shape combinations and patterns give the geometries a playful and hot final touch. We also take advantage of the most basic graphical element - grid, to represent grills, which is unexpected but also reasonable.

- This project started with a conversation with the client. Through the conversation, we find out the ethos of the brand. Through further conversation and research, we gathered more information about the tone and language of Meet. Base on that, we developed the look and feel for Meet. Then, we apply this visual language to applications around this brand.
