Fenc Loopflex è un tessuto elasticizzato privo di elastan, sviluppato per abbigliamento sportivo, abbigliamento per il tempo libero e intimo. Il tessile è un mono-materiale composto esclusivamente da poliestere, rendendo così possibile il riciclo da tessile a tessile e riducendo i rifiuti. La produzione parte da chip di elastomero poliestere termoplastico, trasformati in un filato elastico attraverso un processo di estrusione a fusione privo di solventi. Il filato viene lavorato a maglia con filamenti di poliestere tradizionale secondo tensioni pre-programmate, offrendo una forza elastica da due a tre volte superiore rispetto alle miscele con elastan, bilanciando al tempo stesso comfort e sostegno.

Tecnologia di Produzione: It starts with TPEE chips, a thermoplastic polyester elastomer, which undergoes a solvent-free melt extrusion process to produce high-performance polyester elastomer. The yarn is then knitted with regular polyester filaments into a mono-material polyester base stretch fabric using advanced textile engineering. This process incorporates an intricate inner structure and pre-programmed tensions ensures a balance of comfort and support, delivering optimal benefits in motion or at rest.
Sfida Progettuale: The biggest challenge was replacing spandex while maintaining high stretch and recovery. We engineered a recyclable polyester-based mono-material fabric with the same elasticity. Achieving the right balance of performance, comfort, and sustainability required advanced material knowledge, precision knitting, and adjustments to dyeing and finishing processes. By overcoming production limitations, this innovation improves recyclability and contributes to a greener textile industry.
Ricerca: Using material science and solvent-free melt extrusion, our polyester elastic yarn is produced with a lower carbon emission process and fewer chemicals than traditional spandex production. Through advanced knitting and fabric engineering, we have developed stretch fabric with preprogrammed tension, improving performance while supporting a circular economy in the textile industry.
Ispirazione: Driven by the growing demand for sustainable materials and the rapid expansion of the sports and leisure wear market, FENC LoopFlex Fabric was developed to tackle the recycling challenges of spandex blended textiles. By reimagining stretch fabrics, advancements in material science were applied to create a high-stretch, fully recyclable fabric that adapts to life while minimizing environmental impact. Designed to be versatile, it fits a wide range of needs and lifestyles for more people.
Durata del Progetto: The project started in Taiwan in 2024 and finished in 2025. It is set to be globally showcased starting in 2025.
