About Fenc Loopflex Spandex Free Stretch Fabric
Fenc Loopflex is a spandex free stretch fabric developed for sports wear, leisure wear and underwear. The textile is a mono material made only of polyester, so textile to textile recycling becomes possible and waste is reduced. Production begins with thermoplastic polyester elastomer chips, which are turned into an elastic yarn through a solvent free melt extrusion process. The yarn is knitted with regular polyester filaments using pre programmed tensions, giving two to three times higher power stretch than spandex blends while balancing comfort and support.
About Far Eastern New Century Corporation
Far Eastern New Century Corporation (FENC), headquartered in Taiwan, is a global leader in polyester and textiles with a fully integrated supply chain. By controlling production from key raw materials like PTA, polyester chips, fibers and filament to products, FENC ensures quality, efficiency, and quick market adaptation. The company also operates its own knitting, dyeing, and garment production factories. FENC leads in sustainability with its TOPGREEN® recycled polyester and maintains a strong global presence across Asia, North America, and Europe, enhancing resilience and customization.

Design Details
- Unique Properties
- FENC LoopFlex Fabric is a spandex-free, mono-material textile offering superior stretch and recovery, and is fully recyclable. Unlike polyester-spandex blends, it enables textile-to-textile recycling, reducing waste and environmental impact. With 2-3 times higher power stretch, its revolutionary polyester elastomer and advanced knitting technology ensure comfort and support, redefining stretch fabrics for a greener future.
- Inspiration
- Driven by the growing demand for sustainable materials and the rapid expansion of the sports and leisure wear market, FENC LoopFlex Fabric was developed to tackle the recycling challenges of spandex blended textiles. By reimagining stretch fabrics, advancements in material science were applied to create a high-stretch, fully recyclable fabric that adapts to life while minimizing environmental impact. Designed to be versatile, it fits a wide range of needs and lifestyles for more people.
- Research
- Using material science and solvent-free melt extrusion, our polyester elastic yarn is produced with a lower carbon emission process and fewer chemicals than traditional spandex production. Through advanced knitting and fabric engineering, we have developed stretch fabric with preprogrammed tension, improving performance while supporting a circular economy in the textile industry.
- Challenge
- The biggest challenge was replacing spandex while maintaining high stretch and recovery. We engineered a recyclable polyester-based mono-material fabric with the same elasticity. Achieving the right balance of performance, comfort, and sustainability required advanced material knowledge, precision knitting, and adjustments to dyeing and finishing processes. By overcoming production limitations, this innovation improves recyclability and contributes to a greener textile industry.
- Realization and Technology
- It starts with TPEE chips, a thermoplastic polyester elastomer, which undergoes a solvent-free melt extrusion process to produce high-performance polyester elastomer. The yarn is then knitted with regular polyester filaments into a mono-material polyester base stretch fabric using advanced textile engineering. This process incorporates an intricate inner structure and pre-programmed tensions ensures a balance of comfort and support, delivering optimal benefits in motion or at rest.
- Operation and Interaction
- FENC LoopFlex Fabric offers high-performance stretch without spandex, providing versatility across various product applications. Ideal for sports wear ,leisure Wear and underwear, this innovative fabric delivers comfort, support, and durability while promoting sustainability, making it perfect for performance-driven and eco-conscious products.
