More About Guang Xi Culture Modern Museum Restaurant

Guang Xi Culture Modern Museum is a restaurant interior located inside a shopping mall in Nanning. The design refers to the traditional column architecture of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the shape of the roof structure forms the entrance. Zhuang brocade, a characteristic local folk textile element, is remixed into the interior decoration. Materials include bamboo panels, volcanic slate and stainless steel waves. A luminous ceiling pattern simulates the natural light of Guangxi. The intent is to let guests experience local culture while dining.

Design Details

Unique Properties
This project is located inside a mall in Nanning. Designers refer to the architecture of columns in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and it is the most representative of the Construction Method of Guangxi Zhuang architecture. Zhuang brocade is the most characteristic folk element in the local traditional culture, it will deliver the spirit and emotional value of the customer throughout the entire space, so they can experience more while enjoying the meal, they can also see, feel and learn from this interesting Culture.
Inspiration
The design inspiration from Guangxi Zhuang culture，we hope the meal at the same time bring more immersive user experience for the user, through modern design technique, on the basis of implant material on the ground of guangxi, such as bamboo, jin silks, pattern material, realize the integration of space and memory point at the same time, to strengthen the brand image.
Research
As we know The construction method of these architectural structures has existed for more than a hundred years, and it is the most representative of the Construction Method of Guangxi Zhuang architecture. o we decide to extract the shape of the roof structure of the building as the entrance.For the interior decorations, we also remixed some fabric in tapis with Zhuang characteristics, Zhuang brocade is the most characteristic folk element in the local traditional culture, it will deliver the spirit emotional value of the customer throughout the entire space.
Challenge

The material of the wall is covered with rustic and rough paint and creates a contemporary sense with a sleek and straight line, as a designer we try to understand Interior design design from the perspective of history to rebuild the relationship between architecture and humans as if all space is alive.
Realization and Technology
