About Azumaen 日本食レストランは
国立公園内の湖畔にあるレストランの計画です。個室のブースはオシドリの形をしており、まるで池で静かに羽を休めている鳥のような空間です。オープンキッチンのカウンターやテーブル席の足元にも間接照明を設置し、池に浮かぶオシドリのような浮遊感を演出。このブースは螺旋状に高さが変化するので、座るとプライベートな空間になります。立ち上がれば全体が見えます。

- Unique Properties
- It is a plan of a restaurant on the shore of a lake in a national park. The booth in the private room is shaped like a mandarin duck, and the space is like a bird resting its wings quietly in a pond. Indirect lighting is also installed at the counter of the open kitchen and at the feet of the table seats to create a floating feeling like a mandarin duck floating in a pond.

- Each booth was made of bent structural plywood and finished with a cloth that was glossy with natural light.
The lighting plan of the restaurant has a timer set, and the atmosphere changes from day to night. - Design Challenge
- Due to the restaurant in the national park, there were many restrictions on the materials and colors that could be used.
It was difficult to make a circular booth whose height changes. - Inspiration
- Various migratory birds visit the lake in front of the restaurant every season. It created the atmosphere of a bird resting its wings on a stage that juts out into the lake.
