About Fold and Rescue 折りたたみ式救命ボート
Fold and Rescueは、船舶での使用を想定して設計された折りたたみ式の救命ボートである。本デザインは、船内の限られた収納スペースによって搭載できる救命ボートの数が制限されるという課題に応えるものである。折りたたみ構造は折り紙のボートから着想を得ており、救命ボートをコンパクトな形状で収納することを可能にしている。構造はシンプルで、9枚の肉厚化された浮力ボードを、反射素材で作られた柔軟なリンクで連結して構成されている。3本のストラップを順に外すという一動作で展開が完了する。位置決めロックが開き角度を固定する。

- Unique Properties
- Aiming at the actual problem of insufficient number of lifeboats in the ship's stockpile. Paper folding lifeboats are designed to save space and add more lifeboats. The design inspiration comes from the origami boat. The design of the lifeboat is realized by the folding structure of the origami boat. The Paper folding lifeboat has a simple structure and is composed of nine thickened buoyancy boards and soft links made of reflective materials. The lifeboat is easy to operate and all operations can be completed in one step by unfastening the three straps in turn.
