About Thidamoon ホテル
神々の島としても知られる奄美大島には、「ニライカナイ」という「海の彼方の楽園」を意味する言葉があります。島の人々は、神々が海から島へ上陸する前に立ち寄る場所として、浜辺にそびえ立つ巨大な岩「立神」を崇め、祀ってきました。「縁」と名付けられたスイートルームからは、眼下に広がる太平洋と、そこに佇む立神の景色を堪能することができます。日の出から日没、そして月が輝く夜まで、海と空が調和し、刻々と変化する多彩な表情を見せてくれます。

- Unique Properties
- A room where you can see the huge rock "Tategami", which has been worshiped as a place where gods stop by before landing on the island from the sea, and has been an object of worship.

- Production Technology
- The interior of the guest room is made using sea sand and coral collected from the sea of Amami Oshima.
- Design Challenge
- Because it is a small remote island in Kagoshima Prefecture, it was difficult to arrange building materials and craftsmen. For that reason, many craftsmen asked for support from the mainland.
- Inspiration
- Amami Oshima, also known as the Island of the Gods, has the word "Neriyakanaya," which means "a paradise beyond the sea." The people of the island have worshiped and worshiped the huge rock "Tategami" that rises above the beach as a place where the gods stop before landing on the island from the sea.
