About GRND Coffee カフェのインテリアデザイン
GRND Coffeeは、30平方メートルの空間に計画されたカフェのインテリアである。既存建物は間仕切り壁の強度が乏しいため、外殻として機能する独立した鉄骨構造を新たに設けた。この外殻はオーク材をヘリンボーン張りとし、真鍮の見切り材で仕上げている。研磨仕上げのテラゾー床にも真鍮のスペーサーを用い、同じパターンを繰り返している。大理石の面材と磨き真鍮のインサートが、インダストリアルな要素と組み合わされている。一般的なテーブルと椅子の代わりに、一方の壁面に沿って張地仕上げのベンチを連続させた。小ぶりで軽量なテーブルは、来店客それぞれに合わせて自由に動かすことができる。

- Unique Properties
- In order to separate the cafe from the old building weak wall structure, we created a separate steel structure works as an envelope finished with oak wood in a herringbone pattern with brass dividers, echoed by brass spacers in the polished terrazzo floor. To maximize the 30 square metre space, rather than tables and chairs, we provided a row of upholstered benches along one wall accompanied by small, lightweight tables that can be easily moved to suit patrons’ needs.

- “Our journey to GRND Coffee Co started seven years ago with a bag of single origin coffee, a blade grinder, and a French press,” say the clients. “Fueled by curiosity and a love of coffee, Coffee machines was intently left exposed to reflect the client story.
