Wood and Tree yaiku poster kang digawe kanggo seminar arsitektur ing Tokyo, Jepang. Tema seminar iku panganggo anyar saka kayu, bahan klasik, ing arsitektur modern. Poster iki nggunakake basa grafis modern kanggo niru gambar klasik saka cincin wit. Garis-garis kanthi cacah, kekandelan, lengkungan, lan warna kang beda-beda dicoba kanggo mbentuk pola. Asile matematis ing struktur, nanging kaendahan alamiah tetep ana. Poster iki ukurane 210 kali 297 milimeter. Iki dipajang ing lawang mlebu, ing ngendi para pengunjung bisa njupuk flyer cilik.

Unique Properties: It's a poster for an architecture seminar which is called "Wood & Tree" in Tokyo, Japan. The theme is about new possibility of application of wood which is a kind of classic material on modern architecture. So modern graphic language is used to simulate classic drawing to express annual ring. The main vision is mathematical but still can feel natural beauty.

Production Technology: Hundreds of annual ring's photo was collected as a reference. Adobe Illustrator is the main software to complete the poster.
Design Challenge: The hardest part is using mathematical graphic to simulate nature shape such as annual ring and expressing both aesthetics at the same time.
Research: The number, thickness, curvature, color, etc. of the lines have been extensively tested to express annual ring.
Inspiration: The inspiration is from annual ring. Wood is a kind of material without life. But different from other material, people can still feel vitality by the smell and texture and so on. The annual ring is the evidence which can prove it was lived as a tree. And the beautiful curve is intoxicating.
Project Duration: The project started in Aug 2018 and finished in September 2019 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in gallery of Myojyuji Saruein September 2018.
Operation Flow: It was displayed at the entrance, visiter could take the small flyers by themselves to understand the theme of the exhibition.
