Design Challenge
The challenge was to create a stylish modern font with sweeping forms that were and covered problems when used in smaller point sizes but create distinctive stylish forms.
Research
We studied early and late 1900 century san serif fonts, used in high volume printing runs where a problem of legibility was defined by the print process.
Inspiration
The design was inspired by 1900 century san serif typeface used in telephone books. The design uses modern and generous stylish glyph forms allowing the font to be used both in smaller point sizes and at large point sizes to create an original branding typeface.
Project Duration
The project began in July 2020 with the commercial license released by Monotype in December 2020
Operation Flow
The commercial font is used primarily by branding and communications design
