About Peach Blossom Future Villa 빌라
'복숭아꽃 미래 빌라(Peach Blossom Future Villa)'는 중국 저장성 안지의 산악 경관 지역에 조성된 56채의 단독주택 단지이다. 설계는 하늘과 땅, 그리고 인간이 하나가 된다는 천지인 합일의 개념을 따른다. 중국 전통 간란식(고상) 가옥에서 영감을 얻어 각 빌라는 세 개의 강재 기둥 위에 놓이며, 이를 통해 가파른 지형의 훼손을 최소화하고 가벼운 외관을 구현한다. 대형 유리벽이 외피를 이루며 수평적 확장감을 강조하여, 주택들은 고산 풍경 속에 떠 있는 유리 상자처럼 보인다. 강재와 유리, 그리고 목재 거푸집 마감 노출콘크리트는 대지 위에서 아름답게 세월의 흔적을 더해간다.

- Unique Properties
- This project presents 56 single families dropping in a mountain scenic area. The integration of ‘heaven, earth and humanity’ is the overriding philosophy. Inspired by the traditional Chinese stilt house, each villa is supported by steel frames to respect existing topo and promote lightness. Large glass enclosure emphasizes the horizontal extension and creates the effect of glass boxes floating among the alpine landscape. Overall delivers a complete design of fulfilled natural belongings.

- Two key challenge to this project: to best preserve the natural environment and address the steep terrain which has a maximum 41m elevation difference.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by the traditional Chinese stilt house, each villa is supported by 3 steel columns. This structure minimizes the break of existing topo and promotes a lightness looking. Simple materials palette including steel, glass and board finish concrete, is designed to weather gracefully within the site context. Large glass used as an enclosure, emphasizes the horizontal extension and creates an impression that glass boxes are floating effortlessly among the alpine landscape environment.

- Peach Blossom Future Villa is an endorsement of mountain living dreams. The beauty of this project is not only people living in the house would experience various natural views, the floating glass box house itself is also a beautiful view from a distance, and acts as part of the scenic area.
