About Cultural Wars Against Poland 도서 시리즈

『폴란드에 맞선 문화 전쟁(Cultural Wars Against Poland)』은 폴란드 국립문화센터에서 발간한 대중 교양 역사 도서 시리즈다. 이 시리즈는 17세기 말부터 20세기 전반에 이르는 시기를 다룬다. 매우 거친 질감의 표지 용지가 전쟁, 거칢, 파괴라는 메시지를 강화한다. 표지의 찢긴 페이지 모티프는 무색 압인(블라인드 스탬핑) 기법으로 표현했다. 내지는 검정과 강렬한 빨강 두 가지 색으로 인쇄되었으며, 빨강 강조색은 폴란드 국기의 색을 상기시킨다. 오타바인드 제본을 적용해 각 권이 평평하게 펼쳐지므로 한층 편안하게 읽을 수 있다.

Unique Properties: The paper chosen for the cover – Antalis Curious Collection Matter, Goya White – is very rough, which strengthens the message. The tear-off of a page on the covers is enhanced by the dry-stamping technique.

The publication is devoted to deliberate diffusion measures against Poland carried out by neighboring countries. The series covers the period from the end of the 17th century to the first half of the 20th century. The issues discussed in the following volumes make it possible to see the continuity of the anti-Polish narrative and show how the distribution of anti-Polish accents changed depending on the current goals of the partitioning powers.
