About Wave 퍼스널 블렌더
Wave는 사무실, 자동차 등 집 밖의 다양한 공간에서 사용할 수 있도록 디자인된 휴대용 퍼스널 블렌더이다. 대형 물병 정도 크기의 콤팩트한 본체 안에 블렌딩 메커니즘 전체가 담겨 있다. 외관 셸은 사출 성형 ABS로 제작되었으며, 블레이드는 스테인리스 스틸, 창은 강화유리를 사용하였다. 흐르는 듯한 패턴이 적용된 성형 실리콘 커버는 견고한 그립감을 제공하는 동시에 유리에 남은 잔여물을 가려준다. 작은 투명 창을 통해 블렌딩 진행 상태를 확인할 수 있다. 브러시리스 모터와 충전식 배터리, USB 충전 플러그가 적용되었다.

- Unique Properties
- robust appliance with you wherever you need to be. Molded silicone provides a sure grip and gives you an aesthetic experience. To create an aesthetic experience for the user, the pattern is designed to hide the unaesthetic material as it blends.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The height of blender is 125 mm and the diameter is 33 mm

- Production Technology
- The shell is made of injection molded ABS, the blade material is stainless steel, and the window is tempered glass. The body of the blender is covered by silicone, which is made by injection molding.
- Design Challenge
- The challenge with this project was to come up with a product that would be pleasant for the user while maintaining the quality of the blender. Designing a pattern makes it enjoyable for the user while providing a better grip was a challenge of this project
- Research
- People like to carry their personal blender with them for a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the aesthetic aspect was considered in order to create a small personal blender when you would like to drink in your office or in the car. In order to hide the unorganized material remaining on the glass of the blender, and to create an aesthetic experience for the user, the silicone pattern is designed to provide a sure grip for the user. In addition, a small transparent window is available to check on its progress
- Inspiration
- With the design of the Wave Blender we chose to look at a future market where users adopt a more nomadic and remote lifestyle. This device integrates the entire mechanism into a compact package, the size of a large water bottle, allowing the user to bring the entire blending experience with them. Considering the current trends, we move into more expressive ambiance. The pattern in the exterior silicone provides increased grip. In addition, the exterior is inspired by the flow of the material as it forms.
- Project Duration
- The projected started in January 2019 in Los Angeles and finished in April 2019, and was exhibited in ArtCenter College of Design Studio in 2019.
- Operation Flow
- The companion app empowers you to express yourself by helping you choose a beautifully colored beverage to suit your mood. The Palette of Fruit companion app gives users a new way to interact with their nutrition. Choose a color palette to suit your mood and the app will give you recipes, shopping lists and nutritional content of your desired beverage. This blender uses a compact, maintenance free brush less motor, rechargeable batteries and a USB charging plug.
