About Island Îş: Salona Porê

Girav salonek porê ye ku li nav xaniyeke çil-salî ya 165 metre çargoş hatiye çêkirin. Nûvekirin ji xemilandina tevlihev dûr dikeve. Têmûrên xemilandî yên ji nû ve hatine bikaranîn, li şûna dîwarên hundir tên bicihkirin û wek perdeyên veqetandinê kar dikin, bandoreke şefaf, jûreke ronîtir û herikîneke sade û zelal diafirînin. Pelên kesk ên bêhejmar û riwekên hilkişîner cîh tijî dikin. Pergaleke avdanê ya bi hêza gravîtiyê ku li ser teoriya sîfonê ava bûye, li şûna avdana mekanîkî tê bicihkirin, yanzdeh sitilên bi rêkûpêk tijî dike û dengê çilkîna avê lê zêde dike. Sêwiran hêmanên xwezayî tîne nav derdoreke bajarî.

Production Technology
Recycled decorative logs are used to partition the space, and walls are abandoned to enhance the flow of the space with the see-through effect created by the logs. It is, therefore, brighter and breaths a new trend into the space.
Simple physics is applied to the watering system. Energy-consumed and difficult to maintain mechanical irrigation is replaced. Meanwhile, the space is filled with the sound of dripping water with help of gravity-powered watering system.
Design Challenge
The scene of dense tropical greenery and climbing plants is moved into the interior space. One can see the abundant green foliage, smell the plants and listen to the sound of dripping water and be temporarily rid of the fuss in the city and eventually reach a harmonious balance between nature and city. Research
Using siphon theory where air pressure pushes down on water and water fills up 11 tanks evenly in the corners until water supply is stopped.
Decorative logs are tied and wrapped with cotton and linen fabric to allow water to be evenly distributed to the logs thus climbing plants can absorb water evenly.
An urban space is enriched with nature elements and a simple physical principle.
Inspiration
Birds sing, water flows, wood and plants release the fragrance of nature. A place, filled with greenery and vitality, differentiates itself from the rest of hair salons and reinterpret the spatial concept.
Project Duration
The project started in November 2019 and finished in December 2019 in Taipei.
Operation Flow
It is intended to introduce nature elements into an urban space with simplicity principle and thus provides another form of design theory.
