About Multivision Porsche Shanghai Primary Function: Fotografie-Konschtwierk
Multivision Porsche Shanghai ass eng Fotografie-Konschtwierkserie, déi fir Porsche China geschaf gouf. All Bild kombinéiert dräi Fotoen an engem eenzege Kader duerch Méifachbeliichtung. D'Serie weist déi verschidde Gesiichter vu Shanghai, vun traditionelle chinesesche Quartieren an der Architektur vun der fréierer Franséischer Konzessioun bis zu modernen Gebaier aus Glas a Stol. E Sportwon erschéngt an all Bild a bleift trotz der geschichteter Ëmgéigend erkennbar. D'Biller goufe mat digitaler Fotografie erstallt a ginn als Fine-Art-Drécker op Aluminiumverbondpanneauen a limitéierten Oplagen produzéiert.

- Unique Properties
- Porsche China asked me if I’d like to shoot in Shanghai and create some artwork for the PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, including their iconic sportscars.
I created pictures in the style of my “Multivision” series to show the various vibrant faces of this great city.
It's multiple exposure photography, always three photographies in one picture. - Dimensions & Packaging
- Different Artworks in different sizes, all in limited editions
- Tags
- Shanghai, China, Porsche, multiple exposure, photography
- Production Technology
- Digital photography, the artworks are finished as Fine-Art prints, mounted on Alu-Dibond.
- Design Challenge
- The challenge was the weather and to find locations, where a multiple exposure of Shanghai gives a good view to the different faces of the city.
- Research
- The project started with a call from Porsche China. I created a concept and did the creative direction. All in all, I didn't have much time, there were about 3 months between the creation of the concept and the exhibition for Porsche's 70th birthday at Photofairs Shanghai.
- Inspiration
- Shanghai has many different faces. You can find the old, traditional China, the influences of France in the "Former French Concession" and of course very modern glass and steel architecture.
I wanted to capture these different faces of the city in multiple exposures, always with a Porsche in the picture. Because no matter how distorted the environment appears through the multiple exposure, you can always recognize the iconic design of the Porsche. - Project Duration
- Location-Scouting and Shooting: 10 days, 10 more days for postproduction
- Operation Flow
- 1. Digital location scouting via internet, Google Earth, etc.
2. Physical location scouting in Shanghai
3. Shooting in the streets of Shanghai
