About The Mask That Ate The Virus Aro-tava fandringanana viriosy
Ny orinasa biotech soisa Livinguard dia namolavola lamba ho an'ny aro-tava azo ampiasaina imbetsaka izay mampihena sy mandringana bakteria, holatra ary viriosy (ao anatin'izany ny Covid 19) rehefa mifandona amin'izy ireo. Velomina ao anatin'ny fonony io hevitra io: Tonga ao anaty fonosana madio tsy misy otrikaretina ny aro-tava. Misy tady plastika mifamatotra izay manetsika – rehefa akisaka miakatra sy midina – ny sarin'ny viriosy iray izay lanina mandritra izany, izay manampy hatsikana ilaina indrindra amin'ny andro sarotra. Mba hisorohana ny fifangaroan'ny aro-tava eo amin'ny mpianakavy, ka mba hisorohana ny fifamindran-doto, dia misy tady fanitsiana miloko samihafa tonga ao anaty fonony misaraka mba hanamboarana ny aro-tava tsirairay.

- Design Challenge
- Finding the right materials and printing technology that would allow for a highly accurate production needed for the animation to work.
- Research
- To bring the virus-eliminating process to life in the packaging, we made use of a century old technique: Moiré Animation – creating an optical illusion of animated frames, with the graphic depiction of a virus getting 'eaten' in the process.
- Inspiration
- Swiss biotech company Livinguard developed a textile for reusable masks that inactivates bacteria, fungi, and viruses (incl. Covid 19) upon impact.
The product idea is brought to life in the packaging:
The mask comes in a sterile package. An attached plastic strip animates – when slid up and down – a virus that is getting eaten in the process, adding some urgently needed humor in desperate days. - Project Duration
- The product was launched in May 2020. Up to date 5 Million masks were produced. Market: China/Worldwide
- Operation Flow
- The task was to communicate a new, unique product advantage to the consumer via the packaging: that a simple textile can provide protection, every single day.
- Patents
