About House of the Breathing Void Whare Noho
Ko te House of the Breathing Void he whare noho kua whakaritea huri noa i tētahi ātea matua kei waenganui. Ko taua ātea he wāhi tuwhera e rere wātea ai te hau me te māramatanga, ā, koinei te iho taiao o te kāinga. Mā te ātea hoki e hangaia ai he kōrerorero mutunga kore i waenganui i ngā wāhi o roto me ngā wāhi o waho.

- Unique Properties
- The “House of the Breathing Void” is conceived as a sanctuary of openness, a dwelling that breathes, listens, and connects. Anchored between earth and sky, the house establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and exterior, shaped by climate, light, and Mediterranean lifestyle. At its center lies an atrium, the open heart of the home, where air, light, and life circulate freely, forming both the emotional and environmental core.
- Inspiration
- The Atrium was the concept inspiration of the project. The house was conceived through bioclimatic principles, its geometry shaped by a clear southern orientation that captures sunlight, enhances passive heating, and invites natural ventilation. From this dual idea, the atrium and the orientation toward the sun, a diagonal gesture arose in the building’s form, a spatial and climatic response that defines its identity. Here, light becomes both material and structure, carving paths through the interior.
