About Mountain House in Mist Pustaka

Mountain House in Mist adolah sabuah rumah buku di kampuang nan talatak di sabuah nagari kuno di Wuyi. Bangunan ko manyatukan budayo tradisional jo desain modern malalui panggunoan baru bahan-bahan tradisional, atok nan diubah, sarato papan polikarbonat tembus cahayo di bagian fasadnyo. Siang hari, papan-papan tu maagiah suasana lambuik nan tembus cahayo di dalamnyo. Malam hari, cahayo mamancar kalua dan rumah buku ko manjadi pusek pandangan di nagari tu. Rumah buku ko manyadioan tampek nan tanang untuak mambaco dan batujuan untuak mambaok anak mudo jo anak-anak baliak ka gunuang.

Unique Properties: The Mountain House in Mist combines traditional culture and modern design through new application of traditional materials, transformation of the roof, and use of translucent polycarbonate board on the façade. In the daytime, light creates a translucent atmosphere indoor, while at night, the light sneaks out and the book house becomes a visual center.The book house was built to provide a space for to read and to calm down, so as to attract more young people and children back to the mountains.

Inspiration: The book house is located in an ancient village in Wuyi and was developed by a local tourism real estate company as a part of the development and construction. Before the development, only a few elderly residents live in this empty village. It was hoped that this book house could change the situation by bringing more visitors to it.
