Mengtai Group Hard Technology Pavilion is a corporate exhibition interior located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. The pavilion covers about 4,500 square meters and includes a showroom, public artworks and outdoor sculptural installations. Display boards and scaled models are replaced by a spatial language drawn from industrial production lines. Walls are assembled from aluminum panels, and the floor uses anodized, custom shaped aluminum elements with seams controlled within 0.2 millimeters. A naked eye 3D system and a 22 meter long CAVE theater guide visitors through a cyclical narrative.

Production Technology
The Mengtai Group Hard Technology Pavilion places strong emphasis on the relationship between structure and form, embracing a mechanical and industrial aesthetic. Through precise structural design and meticulous detailing, combined with a variety of machining techniques, the pavilion showcases the authentic appeal of hard tech.
Design Challenge
The interior of the exhibition space avoids the conventional use of display boards and scaled models, instead translating the precision of industrial production lines into a spatial language. The walls are assembled entirely from aluminum panels; the floor is laid with anodized, custom shaped aluminum elements, with each seam controlled to within 0.2 millimeters.
Project Duration
This project is located in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the entire project design was completed on April 1, 2025.
Operation Flow
When it comes to materials, the Mengtai Group Hard Technology Pavilion takes a daring approach, pushing the limits of materials, craftsmanship, and procedures by integrating multiple advanced metal materials and processes that break from traditional construction methods. The naked eye 3D system delivers realistic, floating images in mid air with a strong sense of depth, presenting clear and vivid visuals that remain unaffected by bright light sources, truly achieving the magical effect of seeing without touching. Meanwhile, the 22 meter long CAVE theater takes immersion to the extreme.
Research
The design translates the philosophy, while science fiction writers build worldviews with words, designers should trigger cognitive revolutions through space, and If writers strike with dimensional reduction, then designers must elevate thought through spatial dimensions into concrete practice. Applying topological thinking to reconstruct the company’s history, the project embeds the concept of the Klein bottle’s cyclicality within the CAVE theater. The solution maximally embodies the core philosophy,of Mengtai Group,to make finite resources infinite, and to make infinite undertakings green.
Inspiration
Departing from the standard formula of corporate pavilions, poster boards + models + screens, the Mengtai Group Hard Technology Pavilion reimagines exhibition storytelling with a bold deconstruction of form. All content is distilled into the main lobby of the Technology Building, where a new narrative unfolds: from the present to the past, into the future, and ultimately back to the now offering a cyclical, immersive journey through time and innovation.
