Production Technology
Externally, aluminum panels are finished with a PVDF coating, while insulating LOW E glass is fabricated using magnetron sputtering. Together, these materials not only enhance the weather resistance and thermal insulation of the building but also present a clean, modern aesthetic.
Internally, marble tiles, wood veneers, rectangular aluminum tubing, PVC flooring, and engineered quartz are widely applied, improving visual appeal while ensuring sustainability, durability, and moisture resistance.
Design Challenge
The challenge was creating a spatial system that fosters internal connectivity while ensuring operational independence. The project addresses this through an approach of shared building and differentiated organization. A central elevator system provides access across all floors for core departments, while dedicated elevators for the management balance privacy with efficiency. This translates complex, competing requirements into a clear, flexible, and highly efficient spatial framework.
Project Duration
The project started in Shanghai in December 2021, with its groundbreaking ceremony held on May 18, 2023. It was completed on December 5, 2025, and entered service by the end of December 2025.
Operation Flow
The project creates a dual circulation system focused on efficiency and experience. The office areas are served by dedicated elevators for efficient personnel movement. The interlocking layout generates stairs, terraces, and rooftop gardens, offering spaces for informal interaction and relaxation. Moreover, the open raised ground floor acts as a transitional interface between the building and the city, effectively guiding foot traffic and fostering engagement between the company and the public.
Research
The project recognizes that corporate headquarters in urban cores must balance internal operational efficiency, external brand representation, and social public contribution. Based on rigorous site analysis, it adopts a strategy of separating dynamic and static zones while distinguishing internal and external functions. At the same time, it utilizes the raised ground floor and 3D greenery, transforming office spaces into an open complex that coexists harmoniously with the city and ecology.
Inspiration
Drawing inspiration from the corporate core philosophy of connecting everything, the project employs an interlocking, staggered layout, symbolizing both the close collaboration among internal teams and the deep integration between the company and the city. The facade features fluid horizontal lines that abstractly evoke the flow of information, echoing the essence of the telecommunications industry. Paired with transparent glass curtain walls, it creates a futuristic, high tech visual identity.
