About Travel and Happy Things Illustratiereeks

Book Text: Travel and Happy Things is een illustratiereeks over reizen en vreugde. De reeks is met de hand geschilderd met acrylverf, die helder en waterbestendig is. Elk werk meet 145 millimeter in hoogte en 100 millimeter in breedte. Eén scène toont het oogstfeest van de inheemse bevolking van Taiwan, waarbij mensen elkaars handen vasthouden en rond een kampvuur dansen. Een andere scène toont een eenzame reiziger die in een kalm tempo door een buitenlandse straat loopt. De kleurrijke beelden roepen de vrijheid van reizen en het sociale leven op, die tijdens de pandemie beperkt waren.

Unique Properties: The aborigines of Taiwan have a unique traditional harvest festival culture. During the harvest festival, they held hands and sang and danced around the bonfire. Everyone sang and drank joyfully. This is the joy of the group. Traveling alone in the streets of a foreign country, walking at your own pace, enjoying your own joy. Whether it is the joy of a group or a person, the colorful illustrations are unique to make people feel relaxed, happy, and beautiful.

Inspiration: The current Covid-19 pandemic prevents friends from gathering and traveling abroad. Everyone has lost the freedom of social life and travel they once had. The beautiful life experience in the memory is depicted in colorful colors. Hope to breathe freely as soon as possible and return to normal life.
Project Duration: The project started in February 2020 in Taipei and finished in May 2020
Operation Flow: Use acrylic paint to paint. The bright color of acrylic paint is waterproof. When painting, be careful that the paint dries very quickly.
