Pickup 01 is een conceptpick-uptruck die is ontworpen voor gebruik in veel verschillende situaties. Unique Properties: Pickup 01 pioneers the concept of an all scenario pickup, which integrates universal aesthetics, adaptability, and intelligence. Its innovative Dual Mode Intelligent Cockpit quickly switches between left and right driving positions via lateral movement of the steering wheel and airbag modules, ideal for cross border travel. Its adaptive smart chassis masters diverse tough conditions, and works with an advanced driving assistance system for off road adventures, commuting, and cargo transport.

Production Technology: Designed like brushed metal, the finish delivers a cool, refined sheen that gives the pickup a strong sense of technological sophistication. Inside, precisely machined metal elements continue the design language, seamlessly blending futuristic aesthetics with advanced functionality. The interior replaces conventional ABS plastic with recycled aluminum and magnesium alloys, greatly reducing environmental impact.
Design Challenge: The key challenge was achieving universal adaptability. To address this, the design team has conceived a Dual Mode Intelligent Cockpit for global compliance, an adaptive smart chassis that scans the road at a high frequency to dynamically adapt to complex conditions and heavy loads, and an advanced driving assistance system for added peace of mind. Moreover, a one button camping mode can instantly transform the pickup into a campsite. Together, these innovations deliver true versatility.
Research: The global pickup market keeps growing, yet traditional models remain largely limited in functionality, poor in scenario adaptability, and bulky in styling. Recognizing this gap, Gac New Energy Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. has integrated its expertise in new energy and intelligent technology into this innovative pickup, creating a compelling blend of high torque, low energy use, advanced intelligence, and technological aesthetics. It fully redefines the value of an all scenario pickup.
Inspiration: Departing from conventional rounded pickup designs, the vehicle features a sharp, sculpted exterior inspired by the science fiction film Blade Runner 2049, creating a bold, commanding, and futuristic mechanical silhouette. The rectangular grille and integrated lighting elements further enhance its technological sophistication and mechanical charm. In urban settings, it shows a distinctive, visionary identity, and in the wild, it ensures ruggedness, embodying the vision of universal aesthetics.
Project Duration: The design and development of this pickup started in Guangzhou in March 2025, and its global launch is scheduled for 2027.
Operation Flow: A fusion of gesture, voice, and haptic controls simplifies the complex operation on off road equipment, ensuring a precise, efficient, and safe experience, even with gloves or at high speeds. The AR assisted maintenance system overlays AR markers on the touchscreen to highlight the components requiring service and provides a short instructional video for visual guidance. All interactive controls combine cutting geometry with illuminated edges to clearly indicate their distinct functions.
