About Rhythm Interiørdesign for stue

- Unique Properties
- Undoubtedly, one of the unique features of this project was encapsulating a tropical garden within a terrarium and integrating it into the interior composition. In the details, similar linear forms were created on the ceilings and walls, organizing the textures within a structured harmony. Colors, acting as the true protagonists of the design story, perfectly complemented the textures.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The layout encompasses a 48-square-meter area, defined by an 8-meter width and a 6-meter depth. The 3-meter ceiling height, complemented by lighting with color temperatures between 3000K and 4500K, accentuates the verticality of the volume. The built-in terrarium serves as the primary divider. Modular and low-profile seating arrangements emphasize horizontal continuity, ensuring an unobstructed visual flow toward the focal partition.

- Production Technology
- The design is fundamentally rooted in linear forms and precise geometric alignments. To enhance the sense of depth, ceiling illumination is flawlessly integrated with recessed and linear LEDs, while the walls feature custom-crafted wooden panels. The enclosed botanical terrarium is constructed using high-transparency structural glass, incorporating concealed automated climate control and spectrum-specific lighting systems. Soft color palettes and textured matte fabrics were preferred, with carefully curated accessories completing the overall composition.
- Design Challenge
- The primary challenge was seamlessly integrating a living biophilic ecosystem within a pristine, minimalist architectural envelope. Externally, overcoming technical constraints for moisture control and concealed lighting without disrupting the clean aesthetic required precise detailing. Internally, the creative hurdle was balancing the social desire for a restorative space with the rigid geometry and classical art references, ensuring the terrarium felt intrinsic rather than additive.
- Research
- This study examined the psychological role of indoor nature in urban housing to mitigate adverse locational impacts. It explored dissolving boundaries between the built environment and natural elements. Methods included spatial prototyping and analyzing light, volume, and material contrasts. Observations revealed that a biophilic focal point within a neutral, organized space significantly enhances human comfort. The process was reinforced by harmonious colors and transitional design elements.
- Inspiration
- Situated right in the heart of a bustling and noisy urban environment, the project aims to mitigate the adverse effects of its location in accordance with the client's request. The design is inspired by the goal of creating a living space that seamlessly blends the rhythmic tranquility and revitalizing essence of a tropical ecosystem with a calm, neutral color palette. The concept seeks to transcend traditional residential boundaries through the deliberate use of colors, lines, and, most importantly, an illuminated botanical terrarium integrated into the interior.
- Project Duration
- The project began its design phase in Mardin/Turkey in September 2025 and concluded in November 2025 in Mardin following the implementation phase and delivery to the customer.
- Operation Flow
- Upon completion, the users were highly satisfied with the design and its execution. The harmony of the elements and the modular seating arrangement encouraged intimate and serene conversations, offering the anticipated restorative daily living experience. The linear flow of rhythm was thus seamlessly woven into the interior.
