About Core Mkanda

Kore ndi chopangidwa ndi manja, chamtundu wina, mkanda wokhala ndi zitsanzo ziwiri za silikoni zochokera ku Swiss Apls zokhala ndi maziko a safiro amtundu wa pinki waku Sri Lanka. Mapangidwe ake amakhala ndi mawu agolide owoneka ngati 18kt osungunuka komanso tcheni chagolide cha 18kt. Pink Sapphire 2.5cts yozungulira yowoneka bwino kwambiri imakhala ngati maziko a mkanda, kudzipangira danga pakati pa zitsanzo ziwiri za silicon ngati kuti mwalawo ukuphwanya dziko lapansi kuti awone kuwala. Unique Properties: a Handmade one-of-a-kind necklace two silicon specimens holding a pink sapphire core. The design features 18kt "melted" gold accents and 18kt gold chain.

Production Technology: The necklace has been handmade using a wax casting technique. The minerals have not been subjected to any color or clarity-enhancing treatment.
The materials are: 18kt gold, pure silicon specimens, and a natural Sri Lankan Pink Sapphire.
Inspiration: Core draws inspiration from the remarkable process by which gemstones are formed. The intense pressure and heat these natural elements undergo give birth to the stunning treasures that captivate our senses. It is this very process that serves as the foundation for the necklace's design.

The centerpiece of the necklace is a breathtaking 2.5cts natural Sri Lankan pink sapphire, which represents the pinnacle of natural beauty that results from this process. This gemstone, like all precious gems, is a true marvel to behold, having slowly grown over time into a coveted treasure that nature offers us.

Complementing this beautiful sapphire are two Silicon specimens representing the earth's crust, from which these gems are born. These specimens were carefully selected for their dark color and rough texture, being a stark contrast to the bright pink and smooth faceting of the sapphire.

Together, these elements create a truly exceptional piece of jewelry that celebrates the remarkable process by which gemstones are formed. The necklace serves as a timeless reminder of the beauty and wonder of the natural world, a treasure to be cherished and admired for years to come.
Project Duration: The project started in 2019 in Switzerland, where I found the two silicon Specimens, later on, in Sri Lanka, I found the pink sapphire, and they all remained in my locker. In 2021, I came up with the design after a conversation with my precious son, who suffers from Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) level 1, and sometimes feels trapped in his body.
The piece was finished by June 2021.
Operation Flow: The necklace is worn with a detachable gold chain. the locking mechanism allows for the length to be adjusted manually.
