Since early childhood exploring the real world and imagining how different or better it could be and bringing these ideas to paper or in any other shape was my daily entertainment. I never had a goal of becoming a designer, just during the years of creative activities, I found out that design is something that describes things that I do.
I like making innovative structural projects, that requires interdisciplinary connections. It is area where I can dream of impossible things and make them become possible. In general I love doing projects from the start to the end. so I can think of philosophy behind the project, set the concept and then experiment with visuals.
I avoid picking favourite design because I believe that when you have your favourites, there comes a possibility of becoming similar to the favourite. I rather do daily research of present designs and stalk for quality, innovation and inspiration. It allows to understand design trends and see where it goes, so then I am able to produce original design.
It also works as inspiration for making projects that would become someone else's favourite.
I like making any kind of art in reality and then transfering it to digital processing. The form of art I choose depending on the concept of the project. I like to experiment with various materials and ways of making visuals. For transfering I like to use photography. Programmes work as a finishing tool.
When I am free to do anything I want to do. Or when I create something out of nothing, when I make things possible where on the first sight they seem to be impossible. The latter case is rather a proof of creativity.
Huge responsibilities! First of all design must give you hidden value - message or function - only then there comes a visual perfection for selling that value in a shape of a well designed product. I see design as a tool for high quality ideas to bring to life.
Design is getting interdisciplinary, merging distances between different various areas. Visually it is getting cleaner, more and more details are refused or simplified in order to tranfer the information as quick as possible. I hope in future design will absolutely work for function, so esthetics will be only a clever way of presenting the function.
Design inspiration comes from everywhere. My lifestyle is a food for creativity. Source of inspiration can be anything. More important is to clearly understand the task and to know, what you want to achieve. In general the attitude is the key of creativity - with great attitude inspiration sources vary and you get abillity to take all the best you need.
Artistic and experimental. I always want to give additional value for design. To solve the problem and then give individual touch to tell that it was made by me, not anyone else. There are lots of designers who seem to have the same visual esthetics. Sometimes you can take designs of ten different people and they all seem to be done by one person. Of course it is not easy to show your individuality if you use someone else's typeface pictures or graphics... Even though it is possible, if you know who you are, what you like and you are able to stay that way in every given task. Or it is absolutely possible if you do everything yourself, the only disadvantage that it steals time and requires lots of knowledge and effort to get required quality.
Well, I think I work according to stereotype of design process. Understanding the task, finding goals, deciding the strategy for achieving goals, analysing the situation, searching for idea and concept, making visual research, designing visual part and then producing the result. I enjoy every step of design process, even though thinking of the concept and having the result done I enjoy most, because they bring huge excitement and curiosity. Everything else is steps of various researches and attentive work in order to reach required goal.
Oh, I am very young myself! Even though my main advice would be to always have your own opinion. Hear everything what people say, consider it and think twice if any opinion must be a reason for changes of your decision. Still mind opinions of professionals and be brave enough to take a risk and do the way you think would be the best way to do. Learn the rules - you will be able to break them and bring innovative results. Don't think different. Think yourself.
Positive thing is that you can colour the world with creative ideas. Bring your inner universe to reality and make people happy, ease and relieve their routine. Negatives... it is quite individual thing. Since every negative is a great opportunity for making positive, I like concentrating on positives more. Negative is a mistake. Once you learn a lesson, positive comes out.
Conceptual thinking, understanding of function and esthetics, ability to produce the highest quality result as fast as possible. With minimum effort get maximum result.
Talking about project itself, I tend to give more time of finding goals of the task, setting the concept and visual esthetics. When you know exactly what must be done all you have to do is to bring it to life. Talking about managing few projects at the same time... I remember deadlines and I do my best to fit it. If I see that there is no chance to fit the deadline, then I simplify my idea, work process or I just simply shorten my sleeping hours. Depends on the project and the deadline.
Setting concepts and designing visual identities or any elements of it. I like to analyse, describe, identify and search for a best representative outcome or new angles to see same things differently. Designing identity is also opportunity to get to the very essential information of the identificational object, understanding why and how it is different from everything else. I like it a lot.
I like developing designs myself. I like to bring the idea exactly the way I see it. It is a way of streaming my worldview directly to the audience. I also enjoy working in a team - it is always a great opportunity to learn new things, understand different attitudes and have more opinions.
