About Margarita Bosnjak, M.Arch.

Margarita Bosnjak is a London-based Architect and Designer. Born in Croatia, she got her Master's Degree in Architecture at University of Zagreb in 2004, where she had worked for several years as a licenced Architect. Margarita got her Master's Degree in Arts and Design Practice at Bucks New University in United Kingdom in 2013 and continues to work as a Designer and Architect. In her work she tries to appreciate the importance of a whole context, as well as a single detail. Margarita also has a passion for photography and travel.

Interview with Margarita Bosnjak, M.Arch.

What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
My Cube Side Table, it combines relevant aspects of both Interior and Furniture.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
The future of Design looks very bright, everything is global now.
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
The last exhibition was in January in Herman Miller Showroom in London. The next one should be in Saatchi Gallery.
How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
I look at the brief from different angles, respecting every detail as well as the whole context.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
I live in London, but the Mediterranean influence is strongly embedded into my design, as I was born in Croatia.
From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
Designers are creative people and enjoy the process of making this world a nicer place. But if one is stuck in a non-creative environment, it can be suffocating and damaging for one's mind.
