Give strong deadlines and briefings and between the briefing and the deadline give them just free will. I think the secret it's the recipe between free will and the fine tuning of the briefings you give to design teams. The good designers talk about his designs with big enthusiasm and structural thinking even if the process was chaotic the final scene is totally the opposite of that.

You have always to explain what you do, because you are always changing what you are doing. One of the missions of being a design is to talk about design and about it's impact in every day life.

Don't see it as art. Sometimes subjectivity can be a concept killer. Find a purpose for every detail.

We are always on the edge of groundbreaking changes on all our range of products. In order to get the most from what we have we have to try always to destroy them, for ensuring the viability of them.
