Interview with Baohua Xie

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
I am a graphic designer. Childhood love painting, dream grew up is a painter, and later found the design more interesting in the university, so do a designer.
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
2001 set up the design studio, do a very miscellaneous, 2011 set up BEYOND DESIGN design company, mainly to do brand design.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
Like all the excellent design, the favorite Lamborghini Aventador sports car design
Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
I pay more attention to whether the design is accepted by the audience
When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?
Judgment design is good or bad, if it is commercial design, whether it can create greater business value
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Give the United States to enjoy, to avoid visual pollution, I can not stand the design just to complete the task.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
I have no obvious design style, I like the simple design, interest is the best way.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
I am in Jiangsu, China, China's cultural heritage is very strong, rich in Chinese elements can be used, I believe that China's design is a step by step towards the international
What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
Design companies can not only benefit as the core, but also should consider the quality of the designer's work. Our company chooses designers not to look at the years of work and look at the designer's potential.
Can you talk a little about your design process?

Can you describe a day in your life?
