Interview with Sihui Li

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

I come from China, and I received my bachelor's degree in graphic design from the university, and later have been engaged in design-related work. The love of painting and the art can be applied to the design of the product, so that some want me to become a designer, I have been able to become a real designer and work hard.

Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?

Li Si design studio is young and full of passion and imagination. We do designing related with some graphic design work, such as brand image design, logo design, product packaging design, poster design, and so on.

What kinds of works do you like designing most?

I like works that are simple, practical and have the art of viewing.

Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?

I paid more attention to creative design, beautiful sex, functional, practical, these can increase the value of the brand or product

What makes a design successful?

The unique originality, curiosity about things, and always full of passion.

When judging a design as good or bad, which aspects do you consider first?

I will First consider design the products that fit with the brand or production, as well as the creativity and beauty.

Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?

My design inspiration is from the nature that possess all kinds of things, art painting, these will be the source of inspiration.

How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?

I do not have a fixed design style, the style is mainly dependent on the specific brand or product, but some interesting ideas, simple design and design of the ornamental, these are I have to pursue.

Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?

I am living in China, the mysterious culture and history, as well as beautiful scenic sites in China, has a long history and ancient culture, have formed my design style.

Can you talk a little about your design process?

For the design process, I will firstly understand the brand or product features and design goals, the creative sketches out, the overall design after the use of software to achieve the final results.

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

I was born and have been living in China. I studied at the Northeast Normal University and received a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and has been engaged in design work.

How did you become a designer?

I like to paint as a child, and enjoy color. I was exposed to the graphic design of this professional and generated great interest in University and made my mind to use their own design to serve more people.

Which emotions do you feel when designing?

I do graphic design field design, brand design, logo design, product packaging design, posters and so on these, the future also want to do some product design.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

I am not a legend, but have been insisting on what you want to do.

You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?

Good design can bring infinite possibility to product or brand value, and will continue in the future.

How do you decide if your design is ready?

Nature is the most talented designer. All natural things are better than human designers, You will learn what you do not have from nature.

What is your biggest design work?

I like the designs that look simple, but letting people aftertaste endless design, also like to have the appreciation of the art design.
