Interview with Mojtaba Hosseini

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?

Actually I studied Computer Software. But because of my interest in problem solving and designing new products, I changed my way and tended to the 3D graphic design. So I tried to learn by myself through the internet, online courses and books. After mastering in 3D graphic design, I brings my new products to life and implements my ideas.

What kinds of works do you like designing most?

I love product designing, accessories and sometimes everything! I look at everyday challenges and try to find simple and achievable solutions for them.

What makes a design successful?

First of all the “Idea”. A good idea is a key to a successful design.

How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?

“Design” is the endless path and certainly will progress many more!

Could you please share some pearls of wisdom for young designers? What are your suggestions to young, up and coming designers?

I can’t say anything else than what everyone knows already, Passion, Hard work, Patience.

Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?

Maya, 3Ds Max, Mudbox, Keyshot, HDR light studio, Vray, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign. Also I use internet as source of inspiration.

What type of design work do you enjoy the most and why?

I enjoy product designing, because I think creating a new product that makes people's life easier is very exciting.

Do you have any works-in-progress being designed that you would like to talk about?

I am working on some projects right now, but unfortunately I can't talk about them at this stage!

Could you please tell us about your experience as a designer, artist, architect or creator?

How did you become a designer?

"Tendency to creating new ideas" and "Solving problems" are two of my main motivations for design.

What are your priorities, technique and style when designing?

Absolutely I have chosen to be a designer by myself. I don't believe that anyone can become a designer by being forced to, it needs so much passion and patience beside the skills.

Which emotions do you feel when designing?

I love product designing, accessories and sometimes everything! I look at everyday challenges and try to find simple and achievable solutions for them. I love the Modern look and Minimal designs.

What particular aspects of your background shaped you as a designer?

“Design” is the endless path and I am at the start point of a long journey. I can’t say anything else than what everyone knows already, Passion, Hard work, Patience.

What is your growth path? What are your future plans? What is your dream design project?

Practicing & Hard working! Great designers are people who will not give up easily and always looking for the best.

What are your advices to designers who are at the beginning of their career?

First of all the “Idea”. A good idea is a key to a good design.

You are truly successful as a designer, what do you suggest to fellow designers, artists and architects?

Everyone should invest in good design, because people are always looking for good and new designs and welcome them! Good design adds value to the brand by engaging with customers and improving their lives.

How do you know if a product or project is well designed? How do you define good design?

I think there is no secret recipe. If we share, we will gain more. The designer must understand and connect with the subject, then he could try to find a solution.

How do you decide if your design is ready?

Absolutely in the product designing field there is many legends which you can inspire from them!

Who is your favourite designer?

A project that I am going to launch in next few days! I think that would be my greatest achievement so far.

What are your philanthropic contributions to society as a designer, artist and architect?

Design is art of solving problems and bringing the imagination to reality.
