I'm try to make attractive visual form. I mixes, samples and assembles images found everywhere from old engravings to more contemporary photos I try to creates dreamlike worlds using papers, textures and patterns. MY style is influenced by surrealism.

Interview with Pablo Pasadas

Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
i am an collage illustrator with a grafic designer background. I like switching between this two mode of expression.I was not very interested by school. I have always drawn hidden at the back of classroom. But i never knew that it was possible to work in the creative aera.
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
I'm a freelancer. But sometimes i like collaborate with another creatives. I intented to work in a company like employee. But i prefer to be a freelancer.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
My best design was about my final school project. it was a book talking about politician but by the prism of Jean Lafontaine sentences. Satirical and ironic. With 3d glasses. But unfortunetly someone stold it. Maybe it was a really good project !
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
a lot. we are a chain part of neo-capitalism. we are not surgeon, firefighter or Ngo workers. we can just try to ameliorate small things. And intend to reduce visual pollution.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
we are living surrounded by connected object. How to make it understandable for the user.
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
Last exhibition was last month for the launch of a book about prtotestant religion in Barcelona. I made all the illustrations. Maybe made a new exhibition at the final of the year
How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
like hiphop music. Samples things, objects, concepts to give a new signification
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
i live between spain and france. Spain: color, warm, energy. France: concept, refined, political
How do you work with companies?
we exchange some emails or make a conference call. After i start to work on some sketches before sending the first draft
From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
Positives: living your passion, be aware, curiousNegatives: working under pressure and deadline, the commercial part
How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
it depends on the complexity of the project. Sometimes it takes more times to conceptualize, sometimes to realise
What was your most important job experience?
i worked for a FNAC international campaign during two years (multi support imagery)
