Could you please tell us more about your art and design background? What made you become an artist/designer? Have you always wanted to be a designer?
My passion for architecture began early, inspired by the impact of spaces on human emotions. My academic journey includes degrees from Islamic Azad University, Politecnico di Torino, and Iowa State University, enriched by international experiences. I've always aspired to be a designer, driven to create meaningful spaces​​.
Can you tell us more about your company / design studio?
I currently work at Stantec in Dallas, TX, as an Assistant Project Manager, overseeing multiple construction projects and optimizing workflows with BIM and visualization tools​​.
What is "design" for you?
Design is a holistic process that balances aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability, enhancing quality of life and fostering connections between people and their environment.
What kinds of works do you like designing most?
I enjoy designing spaces that integrate nature and architecture, promoting well-being and productivity, such as biophilic and sustainable designs.
What is your most favorite design, could you please tell more about it?
My favorite design is the "Lakeside Workspace," which harmoniously integrates a contemporary office with a natural lakeside setting, enhancing both productivity and well-being​​.
What was the first thing you designed for a company?
The first design I created for a company was a community hospital in McCook, Nebraska, which involved comprehensive design and documentation through all project phases​​.
What is your favorite material / platform / technology?
I favor using BIM tools like Revit and visualization software like Lumion and Enscape for their ability to create detailed, realistic models and renderings​​.
When do you feel the most creative?
I feel most creative when I am immersed in nature or exploring new architectural spaces, which inspire innovative design ideas.
Which aspects of a design do you focus more during designing?
I focus on the integration of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics, ensuring the design meets user needs while harmonizing with its environment.

I first consider functionality, user experience, and how well the design integrates with its context and environment.
From your point of view, what are the responsibilities of a designer for society and environment?
Designers have a responsibility to create sustainable, inclusive, and aesthetically pleasing environments that enhance the quality of life and respect the natural world.
How do you think the "design field" is evolving? What is the future of design?
The design field is increasingly focusing on sustainability, technology integration, and user-centric approaches. The future of design lies in creating adaptable, resilient, and eco-friendly spaces.
When was your last exhibition and where was it? And when do you want to hold your next exhibition?
I plan to participate in more design competitions and exhibitions to showcase innovative projects.
Where does the design inspiration for your works come from? How do you feed your creativity? What are your sources of inspirations?
My inspiration comes from nature, travel, and studying various architectural styles. I feed my creativity through continuous learning, exploring new places, and staying updated with design trends.
How would you describe your design style? What made you explore more this style and what are the main characteristics of your style? What's your approach to design?
My design style is contemporary and biophilic, focusing on seamless integration with nature and sustainability. This style emerged from my passion for creating environments that enhance well-being and productivity. My approach involves extensive research, user-centric design, and iterative development.
Where do you live? Do you feel the cultural heritage of your country affects your designs? What are the pros and cons during designing as a result of living in your country?
I live in Dallas, TX. My diverse cultural experiences from living in multiple countries have enriched my design perspective, allowing me to blend various influences and approaches in my work. This diversity can sometimes present challenges in balancing different design principles but ultimately leads to more innovative solutions.
How do you work with companies?
I collaborate closely with companies through clear communication, understanding their needs, and providing tailored design solutions that align with their goals and values.
What are your suggestions to companies for working with a designer? How can companies select a good designer?
Companies should look for designers with a strong portfolio, clear communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects. It's important to establish a collaborative and transparent relationship to ensure the best outcomes.
Can you talk a little about your design process?
My design process involves initial research and site analysis, conceptual development, iterative design refinements, and final detailing. I use advanced modeling and visualization tools to explore and present ideas effectively.

From your perspective, what would you say are some positives and negatives of being a designer?
Positives include creative fulfillment, the ability to impact the built environment, and continuous learning. Negatives can be long hours, dealing with client expectations, and navigating project constraints.
What is your "golden rule" in design?
Prioritize functionality and user experience without compromising on aesthetics and sustainability.
What skills are most important for a designer?
Critical thinking, creativity, technical proficiency, communication, and adaptability are crucial skills for a designer.
Which tools do you use during design? What is inside your toolbox? Such as software, application, hardware, books, sources of inspiration etc.?
I use tools like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Lumion, Enscape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and various design books and journals for inspiration and technical guidance​​.
Designing can sometimes be a really time consuming task, how do you manage your time?
I manage my time through effective planning, setting clear priorities, and breaking down tasks into manageable steps. Regular breaks and time management tools also help maintain productivity.
How long does it take to design an object from beginning to end?
The time varies depending on the project's complexity, ranging from a few weeks for simple designs to several months for more complex projects.
What is the most frequently asked question to you, as a designer?
The most frequently asked question is how I integrate sustainability into my designs.
What was your most important job experience?
One of my most important job experiences was managing multiple projects at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, which honed my project management and collaboration skills​​.
