Production Technology

The design and prototype were made in Adobe XD. Photos were retouched in Adobe Photoshop.

Design Challenge

The main task was to design and prototype an experience for planning which plants to plant during different seasons. The app should have an option to search plants among different categories with a filter. It should be easy for a new user to find different plants. All of the important information about the plant and how to take care of it should be in the app. The app should be easy to use and understand and at the same time visually interesting, modern, and minimalist.

Research

I started the work by analyzing similar apps and created different user stories to understand the needs of all the users. After that, I made scenarios based on them, created a customer journey map, and made wireframes. Then clickable prototype was tested on different users, so it can be iproved. After that I started working the overall UI design, so that it suits the target audience.

Inspiration

Design for the app was inspired by the nature and plants, so the color pallete consists of different tone of green color. There are a lot of photos of plants in the app and elements in the interface have round corners to convey calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Project Duration

The project started in January 2021 and finished in June in Russia.
