About Cloud Mountain Type Design Tipográfico

A Cloud Mountain Type é uma família tipográfica inspirada nas montanhas envoltas em nuvens e neblina de Zhang Jiajie e na antiga pintura de paisagem chinesa. As formas das letras combinam a imagética tradicional chinesa de nuvens e montanhas com a estrutura do alfabeto latino. Cada caractere é desenhado à mão e depois refinado em software de tratamento digital de imagem, podendo a tipografia ser utilizada em tamanhos variáveis. Vistos muito de perto, os detalhes assumem o protagonismo e a letra torna-se difícil de reconhecer, tal como a forma de uma montanha não pode ser vista a partir do seu cume.

Unique Properties: The Cloud Mountain Type inspired by Zhang Jiajie, the Chinese cloud-fog mountains and ancient Chinese landscape painting. Combined the traditional Chinese clouds landscape with western character. The Chinese saying: You cannot recognize the shape of a mountain when you stand on it. When you stare at the details of the font, you even can’t recognize the letter itself, that is because you have already stand on the cloud-fog mountains.
