Production Technology: All of the technical details that complete the design and function of the product have been solved by using specially manufactured turning parts. Turning parts that create 8 different technical solutions were solved in 16 mm diameter tube feet without affecting the design. To turn the revolving tray from both the arm and the tray, turning similar to the hinge system are designed. To fix the back upholstery, which is produced as disassembled, a turning and a set screw are used. A special polishing process and a special paint was improved to gained glossy efect on the bright gold metal parts.
Design Challenge: The product is intended to be designed as disassembled. In this case, it was a design challenge how to produce two arms which are the same appearance, one of them has a back upholstery and the other one has revolving tray. It was also a struggle to have the revolving tray rotate from both the arm and the tray. These problems are solved thanks to turning parts.
Inspiration: It is inspired from ability to move, folding and make them ready for reuse when necessary in built-in furniture existing in Turkish traditional architectural culture. The product is designed to allow different uses during the day to accompany the transformation and movement of life. It is aimed to provide the ease of use of the lifestyle that takes off the shoes that used outside at the entrance of the house.
