Текст книги: Fluid Rhythm — это интерьер дизайн-студии, который также выполняет функцию шоурума. Пространство площадью 148,5 квадратных метров занимает два этажа. На первом этаже расположены зона ресепшн, склад и помещения для гостей. На втором этаже находятся основное рабочее пространство, кухня и лаунж-зона. Изогнутые поверхности плавно перетекают со стен на потолки, а встроенные датчики света реагируют на движение. Среди используемых материалов — оксид титана, оптический акрил и низкоуглеродный композитный камень. Отдельные поверхности оставлены незавершёнными, чтобы можно было сравнить различные техники и виды отделки.

Уникальные свойства: This project reimagines a design studio as a living showroom where materials, craftsmanship, and light converge in an immersive sensory dialogue. Every surface is curated to invite touch, revealing the transition from raw texture to refined finish. Layered curves shape both threshold and narrative, while light traces form and material, blurring the line between process and completion. It becomes a spatial manifesto where design is experienced, not explained.
Размеры и упаковка: This interior design studio spans two floors, covering 148.5 square meters, and is structured to balance functionality, aesthetics, and environmental adaptability. The first floor features a reception area, storage, and guest facilities, while the second floor houses the main workspace, kitchen, lounge, and private amenities. A key material choice is Japanese-imported eggshell paint, which regulates humidity, improves air quality, and reduces condensation.

Технология производства: This design integrates precision craftsmanship and advanced material applications. Key materials include Titanium Oxide Metal, Optical Acrylic, and Low Carbon Composite Stone, chosen for their reflective, translucent, and textural qualities. A custom large scale sliding door seamlessly merges with the space, while Japanese imported eggshell paint regulates humidity and minimizes glare. Embedded LED sensors enhance interactivity, reinforcing the responsive nature of space.
Дизайнерская задача: One of the greatest challenges was the precision engineering of the large-scale sliding door, which had to support the weight of full-surface tiled panels while ensuring seamless movement. The integration of metal framework and ceramic finishes required exact tolerances to prevent fractures. Additionally, the studio itself serves as a live demonstration, showcasing a spectrum of techniques, patterns, and finishes, with some deliberately left unfinished for comparison, demanding careful composition to achieve a cohesive, authentic spatial identity.
Исследование: This applied design research explores how spatial composition, material interplay, and interactive lighting influence user perception. Using spatial prototyping and user observation, data was collected through movement tracking, material perception studies, and lighting response analysis. Findings revealed that dynamic lighting and contrasting textures enhance spatial awareness, informing more adaptive, sensory-driven workplace and exhibition design.
Вдохновение: A space that doesn’t engage the senses is a wasted opportunity. Inspired by the fluidity of water and the interplay of light and reflection, this project transforms space into a sensory driven experience. It explores how light, material, and form create a dialogue between architecture and users, dissolving the boundary between function and emotion. The goal was to design an environment that responds dynamically to movement and perception, engaging users on a visceral level.
Продолжительность проекта: This project began its design phase in Taichung, Taiwan, in June 2023 and was completed and put into operation in January 2024.
Рабочий процесс: Visitors step into a welcoming expanse where curves flow seamlessly from walls to ceiling, mirroring the fluid rhythm of water in motion. Overhead, sculpted forms catch and refract light, casting shifting waves of shadow. The path unfolds naturally, guided by subtle light cues embedded in the floor, responding to each step. Ascending, daylight filters softly through curved partitions, while the vivid orange restroom offers a sudden, refreshing contrast, setting up an intentional pause within the flow.
