The lighting reflections were changed as a result and it gave the space more depth and expanses; Kamio successfully leaded the visitor eyes not only to the floors but also to the ceilings, and gained the extraordinariness.

Because the building has large glass walls and ti can be easily recognized the interior even from the outside, we also needed to concern carefully the color coordinate even for the inner spaces to fit to the environment and laws. Perhaps it was one of the hardest part in the project. the team have researched many combinations of the color hue, brightness, and lighting effect, and we tried to figure out the best design expression.
- Research
- During the project studies, the team talked with several senior peoples about what they are interested in and willing to enjoy in their retirement life. Also, the team visited several art galleries for graphic art studies.

- Villa De Nozomi is a senior care residence operated by a hospital. For senior residences, usually it is very important to make the space is comfortable and functional. However, at the same time it is also necessary to concern carefully how the residential space can be even more meaningful to live. He considered that the art feeling is an important design aspect and it might provide a sense of energy to residents.
