Dot Sofia je večnamenska stavba za prireditve in urbano bivanje v Sofiji, Bolgarija. Struktura dveh volumnov združuje prostor za sodobno umetnost in dogodke, avtorsko restavracijo ter stanovanjske enote. Dot Sofia stoji v zgodovinski tržni četrti, območju, ki je dolgo veljalo za trgovsko središče, a je bilo v zadnjih desetletjih zapostavljeno. Fasada je izdelana iz rjavečega jekla in obuja postarano materialnost soseske. Predimenzionirane zaklopne polkna se odpirajo in zapirajo v skladu z ritmom tržnega utripa. Stavba je bila dokončana leta 2023 in ima bruto tlorisno površino 1576 kvadratnih metrov.

Unique Properties: Embedded in the urban complexity of the biggest street market in Sofia the simple two volume structure of DOT Sofia building manifests unexpected different faces and scales from the possible viewpoints. The hybrid program of intertwined contemporary art and events space; signature restaurant and design urban living are injected in the rather neglected historic heart of the city with the clear ambition to redirect its inevitable transformation. The rusted steel facade preserves the characteristic aged materiality of the area while the dynamics of the oversized shutters follow the rhythm of the market life.

Neglected for the past decades, it is now evolving into a multi-cultural melting pot. DOT Sofia aims to contribute to the rediscovery and evolution of this still hidden urban cultural area.
