Instead of following the common way to open up the spatial perception through materials, the designer creates a much playful and cozy space with the vibrancy of a coffee shop. The use of colors is rather mild but cheerful while decorated with the vividness of ceramic tiles and the luster of metals.

Thus, layers are built up one after another when entering each area. The ingenious idea is therefore a great example of how interior design can brighten up daily life by turning a normal lobby into a visual feast.274

Fa'aosofia: While entering the lobby, the vaulted glass ceiling in the hallway not only introduces natural light but also expands the visual space. It draws eyes upward and makes the room much airier and spacious, solving the problem of a low ceiling. In addition, the use of windows and glasses make it visually spacious. The brightness of natural light and white walls contributes to a comfortable perception.
