At the same time, to deliver a product like this requires design team to consider the problem from a variety of perspectives such as market, user, function, structure, aesthetics, craftsmanship and so on, which is also a huge challenge.
Su'esu'ega: After research, We found that some characteristics of the fan such as the spiral opening, worm tongue size, etc. have a strong correlation with performance. But size, proportion, cost, design, etc. will also be affected. Therefore how to determine a balance among these changes is a systemic problem. And to solve this problem requires us to use a systematic approach to organically sort, combine, organize, and analyze all the influencing factors.
Fa'aosofia: People in developing regions are facing issues of low income and air pollution. So designers wanted to create a low cost product with high performance for them. By using computational fluid dynamics, We try to use a systematic method to analyze and optimize the shape of the fan runner, the internal structure, and the overall proportion of the product. Finally, under the condition of controlling the cost, the performance of the product has been significantly improved from the previous generation.
