About The Mask That Ate The Virus Primary Function: Maaskaro Baabi'isa Fayraska

Shirkadda tignoolajiyada noolaha ee Switzerland ee Livinguard waxay soo saartay maro loogu talagalay maaskaro dib loo isticmaali karo oo joojisa oo baabi'isa bakteeriyada, fungaska, iyo fayrasyada (oo ay ku jiraan Covid 19) marka ay ku dhacaan. Fikraddan waxaa lagu soo bandhigay baakadaynta: Maaskaradu waxay ku timaadaa baakad nadiif ah. Xarig balaastik ah oo ku lifaaqan ayaa dhaqaajiya – marka kor iyo hoos loo raro – sawir garaafik ah oo muujinaya fayras la cunayo inta lagu jiro habka, taasoo ku daraysa kaftan aad loogu baahan yahay maalmaha adag. Si looga fogaado is-qaldida maaskarada dhexdooda xubnaha qoyska, sidaas darteedna is-qabsiga faafinta, biinno hagaajin oo midabbo kala duwan leh ayaa ku yimaada kolal gaar ah si loogu qaabeeyo maaskaro kasta.

Design Challenge
Finding the right materials and printing technology that would allow for a highly accurate production needed for the animation to work.
Research
To bring the virus-eliminating process to life in the packaging, we made use of a century old technique: Moiré Animation – creating an optical illusion of animated frames, with the graphic depiction of a virus getting 'eaten' in the process.
Inspiration
Swiss biotech company Livinguard developed a textile for reusable masks that inactivates bacteria, fungi, and viruses (incl. Covid 19) upon impact.

The product idea is brought to life in the packaging:
The mask comes in a sterile package. An attached plastic strip animates – when slid up and down – a virus that is getting eaten in the process, adding some urgently needed humor in desperate days.
Project Duration
The product was launched in May 2020. Up to date 5 Million masks were produced. Market: China/Worldwide
Operation Flow
The task was to communicate a new, unique product advantage to the consumer via the packaging: that a simple textile can provide protection, every single day.
Patents
Livinguard patented, treated textile
