About Froggie Nalka Miiska

Froggie waa nal miis ah oo laga dhiirigaliyay noloshii labanlaabnayd ee xayawaanka biyaha iyo dhulka ku nool (amphibians) ee u dhexeeya dhulka iyo biyaha. Naqshaddu waxay qabataa xilliga uu rahu ka soo baxo korka biyaha. Indhaha Froggie waxay u adeegaan sidii laba ilood oo iftiin ah, halka jirka muuqda ee korka biyaha uu sameeyo saldhigga. Labada indhood waa la qalloocin karaa, sidaas darteed qaabka indhaha waa la hagaajin karaa jagooyin kala duwan si loo abuuro saameyaal iftiin oo kala duwan. Badhan dareen-taabasho ah ayaa lagu dhejiyay sanka kasta, taas oo u oggolaanaysa in nal kasta si gaar ah loo shido oo loo demiyo. Froggie waxay sahamisaa qab-dabeecadda dabiiciga ah (biomimicry) sidii isha naqshad madadaalo leh.

Tags: Frog Lamp, Froggie Lighting, Frog Lighting
Production Technology: Froggie's eyes are made to be bendable. Each nostril is equipped with a touch sensor button where users can turn on and off each light.
Design Challenge: The most challenging part was to figure out proper representations for each design element, for example, how big its eyes should be proportional to the body, and how much its body should be shown, compared to the rest of its submerged part.
Research: Froggie is to explore biomimicry in design. It attempts to translate "double life" of Amphibians into lighting design language.
Inspiration: Froggie was inspired by "double life" of amphibians between land and water. Frogs have the permeable skin, which allows them to breathe through the skin in water. They also breathe through the nostrils above the water surface or on land.
Project Duration: The project began in January 2021 and finished in January 2021 in Banff, Canada.
Operation Flow: Users are able to manipulate its eye shapes by adjusting their positions, which could render various lighting effects.
