- Boleng bo Ikhethang
- Flou Tables in resin explore translucency, light, and shadow as central design elements. Prototyping began with the idea of preserving overlooked by-products within resin, giving them permanence, and later also evolved into tinted variations that adapt to different spaces. With minimal forms, the tables highlight details, depth, and shifting opacity. Flou stands apart for its poetic materiality, offering furniture that invites pause and reflection in a fast-moving world.

- Theknoloji ya Tlhahiso
- Each Flou Table is composed of three to four resin slabs - legs, top, and tie members, cast in custom molds. Parts are routed and grooved, assembled with simple joinery for stability and clarity of form. The process evolved through extensive trials, addressing challenges of mold feasibility, joinery, and resin overheating. Through adaptive techniques, optimized pouring methods and repurposing factory setups, we achieved consistency and scaled the process for larger furniture.
- Phephetso ya Moralo
- The hardest part was mastering resin at a furniture scale. Early molds failed, joinery proved unstable, and overheating led to cracks. After months of trials, we refined casting, adapted techniques, and repurposed factory setups to stabilize production. The creative challenge lay in balancing minimal form with expressive materiality. Externally, resins unpredictable behavior, scarce in depth knowledge, and production limits tested us, while internally, the drive was to merge function with meaning.
- Dipatlisiso
- The research was applied and hands-on, aimed at finding ways to reuse materials and make resin casting work at the scale of furniture. We set objectives to achieve stability, durability, and visual clarity. Through repeated prototyping and trials, using simple tools, temperature checks, and molds, we tested over 120 samples. The results gave us stable methods for casting and joinery. Alongside, design guided the process, shaping minimal forms that elevate light, shadow, and depth, turning technical research into meaningful furniture.
- Kgothaletso
- Flou Series draws inspiration from intersecting architectural planes and postmodern explorations of transparency. Evolving from material experimentation, resin was chosen for its ability to capture depth, light, and shadow. The factory remnants and curated tints add texture and tone, allowing each piece to respond uniquely to its surroundings, creating furniture that feels contemplative and timeless.
- Nako ya Projeke
- Research on material development and production optimization began in June 2024. The products were designed, prototyped and refined through late 2024 and early 2025. By February 2025, the designs were production-ready and showcased at India Design Week in New Delhi, India.
- Tsamaiso ya Mosebetsi
- The Flou Console works as everyday furniture while also standing as a sculptural piece. It changes with light and shadow, appearing clear at times and hazy at others, inviting you to notice new details each time. Made from simple resin slabs joined together with care, it is strong and stable yet visually light. Flou goes beyond just being useful, adding a calm, timeless character that makes any space feel more refined and reflective.
