- While every project holds significance for an architect, some occupy a particularly special place in our hearts. It fills us with immense pride when we can enhance the lives of residents and set a benchmark for the entire region.
In countries like Iraq, it's common for new large developments to be gated communities, isolating residents from the rest of the city and limiting communication, equity, and creating boundaries. In our design for Pavilion, Erbil, we opened all social areas to the public, providing access to sports, green, and cultural zones for everyone. - Project Duration
- The project site is located in Erbil, Iraq. The works on the design started in September 2024 and design and construction are performed simultaneously at the moment.
- Operation Flow
- Our design promotes walkability to reduce vehicle emissions. Rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, and efficient irrigation systems are implemented to promote sustainable water use and reduce consumption. By addressing these aspects, Pavilion sets a new standard for sustainable urban development in the region, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for Erbil and positioning the city as a leader in environmental innovation.
