Texts From Graphics Kitap Hakkında

Texts From Graphics, Meksika'daki bir üniversite programının grafik tasarım öğretim üyeleri tarafından kaleme alınmış denemelerden oluşan bir kitaptır. Denemeler, tasarıma dair düşünceleri ve kaygıları dile getirir. Metinlerde ele alınan karmaşık kavramları yalınlaştırmak amacıyla bir ikonografik sistem geliştirilmiş olup, ikon seti her bölümde değişmektedir. Hiyerarşi, tipografik seçim ve kompozisyon, ana mesajları öne çıkarır ve akıcı bir okuma deneyimini destekler. Kitap, birinci hamur kâğıda siyah beyaz olarak basılmış, forma dikişiyle birleştirilmiş ve verniklenmiş sert kapakla ciltlenmiştir; böylece üretim maliyetleri düşük tutulurken dayanıklılık da güvence altına alınmıştır.

Benzersiz Özellikler: Texts From Graphics is a collection of essays written by academic authors of the graphic design program at UDEM, expressing their concerns around ideas held about design.

The concept summarizes the creative processes used to solve communication problems by developing an iconographic system that simplifies complex ideas, changing the set between each chapter.

The main ideas are highlighted through hierarchies, typographical selections and compositions; creating a dynamic and light reading.
Boyutlar ve Ambalaj: The dimensions of the book are 143mm x 12mm x 221mm.
U V varnish was used in the cover of the book.

Üretim Teknolojisi: The design was made in black and white, digital printed on 90 grams bond paper for a low production cost. It was used a section sewn binding method in hard paste to ensure the durability of the book and UV varnish was applied on the cover.
Tasarım Zorluğu: The main obstacle of this project was the low budget available for the realization of the book. As it is a book made to praise the graphic design of the university high quality and formality was expected, using economical methods and materials.
Araştırma: The creative processes and the design methodologies used in design were deeply analyzed in order to have a better insight of the topics dealt with in the essays, and to be able express effectively the conceps with the iconographic system.
İlham: The book originates from the need of the University of Monterrey to represent the graphic design program. The objective is to show the ideas of the professors of the university and the growth that the career has had through their professional perspective.
Proje Süresi: The project was realized in 2017 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, and was presented in the Vicerrectoria, de Arte, Arquitectura y Diseno (V I A A D) of the University of Monterrey.
İşleyiş Akışı: The typographic system created for the publication allows a better understanding of the essays. It is used as an introduction in the section covers to prepare the reader for the complex concepts expressed in the text; and along the pages as visual relief and support.
