About Vintage Remix Kvartira interyeri
Vintage Remix — Bolgariyaning Sofiya shahridagi 130 kvadrat metrli yangi uy uchun yaratilgan kvartira interyeri dizaynidir. Ikkita vintage fransuz shkafi mehmonxona va ovqatlanish xonasining markazida, ikkita maxsus buyurtma bilan yasalgan haykaltaroshlik uslubidagi po'lat buyumlar — birlashtirilgan bar va ekran hamda javon bilan yonma-yon joylashtirilgan. Nozik intarziya bilan bezatilgan iliq, eskirgan yog'och va qorong'i sanoat po'latining o'zaro tafovuti konsepsiyaga yo'nalish beradi. Ikkala po'lat buyum 3 mm qalinlikdagi lazerda kesilgan plitadan tayyorlangan, ustaxonada egilgan va obyektning o'zida yig'ilgan. Bar shuningdek, shaxsiy xonalarga kirish joyini ekranlab turadi.

- Unique Properties
- The acquisition of two vintage French cabinets from an antiquity store marks the beginning of this interior project for a new 130 m2 apartment. They are placed in the heart of the living/dining area and are juxtaposed to two custom-made sculptural steel pieces – bar/screen and bookshelf. The intent was to create a refreshing tension between old and new - warm aged wood with intricate intarsia and the industrial feel of the dark steel structures.
- Dimensions & Packaging
- The shelves for the Harmonica Shelving Unit are made of 16 mm MDF with stained oak veneer and are cantilevered from the steel structure by interlocking them between front and back steel plates by gravity only.

- Production Technology
- Both custom pieces: Harmonica Bar and Overhang and Harmonica Shelving Unit are produced by 3 mm laser cut steel plate. The separate steel bands are then folded in a steel workshop and assembled on site.
- Design Challenge
- The main challenge was to create a working prototype and to find the wright producer of the custom steel structures. The limited length of the perforated steel bands that can be machine folded was another factor that affected the overall dimensions of the final product.
- Inspiration
- The current progressive trends of upcycling and re-use of old furniture in a contemporary setting serve as an inspiration for the design process.
- Project Duration
- The project was designed in 2016 and was executed in 2017-2018 in
Sofia, Bulgaria - Operation Flow
- Harmonica Bar and Overhang is the heart of the kitchen and a focal point of the entry zone of the apartment. Both screen and bar – its graphite silhouette is reflected in the mirrored back of the tall glazed cabinet. The structure screens from the living area the access to the master bedroom and the concealed doors of the master bathroom and the powder room. The inhabitants constantly experience it's porous sculptural volume in their circulation and daily routine.
