About Interpreting Discomfort Chức năng chính: Loạt tranh sơn dầu
Nội dung sách: Diễn giải sự Bất an là một loạt tranh sơn dầu về không gian cá nhân và áp lực xã hội. Các tác phẩm thể hiện hình ảnh bàn tay và đôi mắt trong những khung cảnh được dàn dựng, tái hiện lại những khoảnh khắc bất an thường nhật. Những hành động quan tâm có thể kéo con người lại gần nhau hơn, nhưng sự chú ý quá mức cũng có thể gây ra cảm giác khó chịu. Loạt tranh kết hợp hai kỹ thuật vẽ. Vẽ gián tiếp tạo nên một nền đen trắng, sau đó được phủ màu bằng kỹ thuật glazing. Vẽ trực tiếp áp dụng màu pha trộn thẳng lên bề mặt tranh. Loạt tác phẩm được thực hiện bằng sơn dầu trên vải canvas và tấm gỗ, được trưng bày tại các phòng triển lãm như một điểm khởi đầu cho những cuộc đối thoại.

- Unique Properties
- Many times “caring” actions will bring people closer together, but it can also make people uncomfortable with too much attention. In this series of works, she discuss how much attention is too much? How is this feeling of discomfort formed? For the attention given by others, we all want to classify it as concern, but too much attention may become a kind of pressure. She use this series of works to discuss with the viewer the comfortable distance of interaction between people.

- Production Technology
- She examined the difference between indirect painting and direct painting, and used both of them in the picture. The indirect painting methods belongs to the technique of classic realistic oil painting, which is completed in black and white and then glaze color on top. Direct painting is the method of contemporary painting, which directly superimposes the adjusted color on the canvas.

- Ideation and the atmosphere is the hardest part of this project. In the presentation of the picture, the shape of the hands must be placed harmoniously in the picture without losing the beauty.
- Research
- The first thing is to study how to create an uncomfortable atmosphere. Eyes and hands are good parts for expressing emotions. The unnatural feeling of combining these two makes the picture more attractive and intriguing.
- Inspiration
- The images she make for this project are staged recreations of her own experience, and she believe that it is also the experience of many other people. This series deals with issues of discomfort and stress in everyday life. We all care about how others view us, this has become the same as our invisible living standards.

- The project began in San Francisco in 2020. Participated in Contemporary Venice 2021, Italy and Small Works 2021, New York.
