About Beichen Optometric Center
Beichen is an optometric center located in Tianjin, covering 368 square meters over three floors. A spiral staircase links the floors and rises in a transparent, winding form. White guardrails on the second and third floors are shaped to suggest human eyes, highlighting the ophthalmic specialty of the clinic. Arcs, rings and rounded corners are repeated in the ceiling, the back wall, the stairs and the reception desk. Green plants, trees and custom leather sofas soften the space. The design combines medical, commercial and artistic needs in one warm and professional interior.

- Unique Properties
- The most eye-catching of the first floor is the spiral staircase which shuttles between the floors, winding and circling up, transparent and beautiful. The second and third layers of white guardrail simulate the shape of "eyes". Its lifelike appearance enhanced its appeal to customers and highlighted the specialty of ophthalmology, highlighting the integration of medicine and art.

- Design Challenge
- The design needs to meet the requirements of commercial, ophthalmic and clinic design, which are interrelated and relatively independent. A large number of arcs, rings and circular angles can be seen. From the ceiling to the back wall, the stairs, and the front desk, all show the artistic beauty with flowing lines. These and the unique VI colors weave a rich sense of layers, and together constitute the unique artistic form of Tianjin eye room.
- Project Duration
- The project started in October 2022 in Tianjin and finished in May 2023 in Tianjin.
- Operation Flow
- Communicate design elements with the client for many times, constantly revise the design, and finally finalize the existing design.After the design is determined, it also needs to carry out floor transformation, communication with the fire department, product production, on-site decoration, soft outfit selection and so on.
