About Feixi New Energy Factory Experience Center

Feixi New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Industrial Park is an office and industrial complex in Hefei, Anhui Province, China. The park covers 46,223.8 square meters and includes two office buildings, a canteen, an exhibition hall and a corridor building. Curved corridors link the modular building volumes and create a geometric dialogue between them. Parts of the curtain wall use vacuum glass and low emissivity glass to improve insulation and reduce glare. Rooftop greening, vertical greenery and ground level planting help regulate the local microclimate.

Minfang Yuan's Feixi New Energy Factory Experience Center demonstrates a sophisticated engagement with contemporary institutional architecture, situating this complex within ongoing dialogues concerning sustainable industrial design, corporate transparency, and the experiential dimension of manufacturing environments that has characterized progressive architectural practice in the new energy sector throughout the early twenty-first century. The compositional achievement of this ensemble lies in its successful orchestration of contrasting material systems, the luminous white planar volumes establishing a neutral datum against which the warm golden-bronze vertical cladding elements register as purposeful accents, creating rhythmic intervals that animate the horizontal facade sequence while maintaining overall compositional coherence and visual equilibrium. The extensive glazing systems integrated throughout the complex suggest an intentional strategy of visual permeability, dissolving traditional barriers between interior production or exhibition spaces and the surrounding context, potentially inviting public engagement with technological processes typically concealed within opaque industrial enclosures, a gesture resonant with broader institutional trends toward demystifying specialized knowledge and fostering community connection to innovation sectors. The chromatic restraint evident in the limited palette of whites, bronzes, and blues demonstrates sophisticated color deployment, the warm metallic elements providing necessary visual weight and textural richness while the neutral white surfaces maximize light reflection and establish associations with cleanliness, precision, and technological advancement. The vertical fin articulation of the metallic cladding serves multiple potential functions, providing solar shading to reduce thermal gain while creating depth and shadow play that prevents monotonous flatness, and establishing a human-scaled rhythm that mediates between the overall horizontal monumentality and individual occupant experience. The architectural vocabulary employed seems to draw upon parametric design methodologies and sustainable building principles, evidenced through the careful calibration of transparent and opaque surfaces, the integration of environmental response systems, and the horizontal massing that may facilitate natural ventilation and daylight penetration. The relationship established between the built forms and their landscape setting suggests attention to biophilic design principles, the maintained lawn and planted tree masses providing organic counterpoint to architectural geometry while potentially contributing to stormwater management and microclimate modification. What might this architectural ensemble invite us to consider regarding the evolving relationship between industrial production, public experience, environmental stewardship, and institutional identity in an era of energy transition and technological transformation?

Production Technology
Some sections of the curtain wall feature vacuum glass and low E glass, which utilize their low emissivity characteristics to block heat radiation between indoors and outdoors, improving insulation performance. These materials also eliminate heat transfer through air conduction and convection, greatly lowering the glass’s thermal transmittance. At the same time, their superior optical performance ensures plenty of natural light while reducing glare, creating a bright yet comfortable working environment.
Design Challenge
The development of Feixi New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Industrial Park also aims to create a green and sustainable office industrial park. The project seeks to convey the concepts of energy conservation, environmental protection, and sustainable development to the public, promote the adoption and advancement of green building technologies, and make a positive contribution to environmental protection and sustainable development across society.
Project Duration
The Feixi New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Industrial Park is located in Hefei City, Anhui Province, China, with a total construction area of 46,223.8 square meters.
Operation Flow
The interior design of Feixi New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Industrial Park thoughtfully considers the relationship between human scale and spatial dimensions. Drawing inspiration from the imagery of forest rock formations and futuristic cities, the design centers on a Dialogue Between Nature and Technology.
Research
In addition to strategies for the sustainable reuse of building spaces and materials, the design incorporates a multi layered ecological landscape system (including rooftop greening, vertical greenery, and ground level landscape belts) to regulate the microclimate, reduce the urban heat island effect, and enhance the park’s resilience to climate change.
Inspiration
The design concept was closely aligned with company vision. From the cultural symbolism of Wood and Stone to the theme of Dialogue Between Nature and Technology, the design thoughtfully integrates the core values sustainability, diversity, and techconology forward thinking into both architecture and interior spaces. It envisions a new model of future workplace that blends ecology, comfort, personalization, and environmental consciousnes.
